# Welcome to BindowsCash

BindowsCash is a fully decentralized non-custodial protocol, allowing private transactions on Binance Smart Chain. It allows users to break the on-chain link between deposit and withdrawal addresses using zero-knowledge principles and fixed denomination deposits.

### Genesis

TornadoCash has been setting the tone since 2019 on Ethereum, with a high-performance protocol integrating zkSnark technology. However, the Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control blacklisted Tornado Cash in 2022 after concluding it helped launder cybercrime proceeds, including more than $455 million stolen by Lazarus, a North Korean government-backed hacking group.

On the other hand, in a landmark decision, the US Treasury officially lifted sanctions on Tornado Cash in March 2025, reversing its 2022 designation as a sanctioned entity.

The limitation of TornadoCash left a void in the crypto community that needed to be filled, as the service was nonetheless efficient and convenient. In response to increasing regulation within the community and the ever-increasing demand for privacy-enhancing exchange solutions, we are now offering a new decentralized mixing service, similar to the path TornadoCash has paved.

Our system is less complex (as it does not use zkSNARK and Merkle trees), so the anonymity strength is lower than TornadoCash, but our system is still very light, easy to audit and understand, and still anonymous via a combination of double-hashing encryption methods, note-based transfers and gasless relayers.
